An unfinished mansion in Montecito, CA was the most expensive U.S. home sale of April, bringing in nearly $60 million. 

Coastal Florida took the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, with an oceanfront Palm Beach estate fetching over $55 million and a resort-style compound in Coral Gables bringing in $47 million.
